Weekly Events
Every Wednesday night is Open Mic from 7pm to 9pm. Sign up for a 15 minute set by calling the cafe at (408) 248-4500 after 5pm on Wednesday.
Most every Friday and Saturday night we host live music starting around 8pm. Specific info on upcoming shows can be found at the Barefoot Coffee Roasters Myspace (look for the calendar and be our friend!). Our art, music and event coordinator Kate maintains the page, and can be reached for booking and other info by email.
Monthly Events
Every first Saturday of the month, starting at 10am, the Barefoot crew will be hosting a coffee tasting (called “cupping” in the industry). As always, this class is open to anyone who wants to come and learn how to taste body, acidity, aftertaste and flavor. This is a serious educational process that usually takes about 90 minutes, so be ready to sit a spell and learn. All coffees will be tasted blind so you will not know which coffees are which until the end. You will be asked to evaluate and judge, score and rank all of the coffees. We guarantee you will learn a ton about coffee and learn to taste coffee actively rather than only in terms of good and bad.
