Barefoot is looking to bring on two more Baristas to the family.

You have to love coffee, love making people smile and be happy, love working your butt off, love moving fast and jumping like lightning, love keeping the cafe in pristine shape and want to work with the warmest/coolest coffee cats/dogs in town/city.

So the cool/hot cats/dogs at Barefoot Coffee Roasters are looking for two coffee maniacs who want to be paid the big/little bucks to make sweet coffee love all day long. Barefoot is going to bring in two new Baristas to the family. Here the coffee is the rock star and we are the coffee roadies. We are the anti-cool, pro coffee place working hard to change the entire Bay Area coffee world.
Barefoot Baristas are committed to striving for coffee perfection preparing Great Coffee, treating coffee as a culinary art and operating as sustainably as possible. We are demanding, perfectionists, passionate,  focused and completely insane about coffee and espresso. You are as well. You are passionate about Great coffee, you prefer Macchiatos to mochas, you love being the best, you love helping customers get the best drink possible as fast as possible. You sing in the shower, you smile a lot, you like music and art and other warm fuzzy things.
Barefoot works hard to make sure that our team is the best trained and motivated anywhere. The training is intense, the standards are high, the perks are great, the team is phenomenal. Barefoot prefers to pay our Baristas well and give them full time hours if they want (30-40 hours week). We also have part time and shifts are flexible around school.

Barefoot Coffee Roasters is on a mission. A dangerous, important mission for coffee perfection. It turns out that we have an immediate need for a mildly paranoid ego-maniac/humble servant individual obsessed with coffee who is ready to kick some serious coffee ass. We are growing like the proverbial wild fire. Our wholesale team is looking for an exceptionally talented, dedicated, passionate, detailed, hard working individual to join our team as a Coffee Roaster Apprentice. It is extremely hard work, not a ton of money and you will be the official “low one on the totem pole” to start. But we will attempt to teach you more about making great coffee than you thought possible. You will happily blend and mix coffee, bag and label it and package it for shipping. You will lift heavy coffee bags (with help of course), and learn the craft of artisan roasting. This is a real job and not for the faint of spirit. To make it better you get all the great coffee and espresso drinks you want free, you are an important member of a fun loving team of coffee professionals and you will be training to become a production coffee roaster on our team. Pay is dependant on experience and dedication. No experience required but it helps. Roasting coffee is a true craft and we treat it as such. This is not so much a job as an apprenticeship. Responsibilities:

1. Help wholesale team organize, clean, roast, bag, package and ship or deliver all wholesale and retail orders - whatever needs to be done to get it done
2. cleaning and organizing all wholesale and coffee equipment, areas, supplies, storage
3. Maintaining coffee grinders, buckets, scales
4. Mix and blend coffees to make blends
5. Weigh out and fill bags of coffee and package and ship orders
6. Ensure adequate supplies and do weekly inventory
7. Deliver any needed wholesale orders in local areas

Requirements:

1. Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable car
2. Must have the ability to lift 100 pounds routinely
3. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
